Dishonest. Told my girlfriend she needed a new timing belt even though she had it replaced at the dealer less than 6 months prior to her visit. She was upset and asked the dealer why it needed to be done again and was told it doesn’t, just a shop looking to sell unneeded work.
Jason, I'm very sorry for the misunderstanding. Our invoices do list the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule and, if the maintenance was not done at our location and the client doesn't know whether or not it was completed, we do advise they ask. Of course, checking timing belts primarily involves quite a bit of labor, so it is not routinely done unless the client requests the work. We strive to clearly communicate to our clients that the suggested schedule of maintenance does not necessarily mean the work needs to be completed immediately or at all. Obviously, this did not happen in your girlfriend's experience and we would love to work on that. Can you please let us know the date/time of service or make/model of the vehicle?
