They did some work on my daughters car that goes to college in the area. Gave her a list of many things that were supposedly wrong with the vehicle. Had our hometown mechanic look into the items to find most of them to be completely fine. Not sure if this is standard practice for them or they were just trying to get one over on a young college student.
Charles, We're very, very sorry for your daughter's experience. We do a lot of work with local college students and typically provide image and video documentation along with a prioritized list (needs to be fixed, should be checked in x miles but doesn't need to be fixed yet, etc.) via email in addition to the conversation at the shop precisely to avoid this type of confusion. It sounds like that didn't happen for your daughter, although we cannot confirm as we haven't serviced a vehicle under the last name Olsen in the last month. If you would be willing, we would love to follow-up with you, as not every student shares a last name with a parent. Please give us a call at (320) 253-6295 if you would like - it would be great to know exactly when she was here and we would be happy to discuss our recommendations and provide the documentation directly with your local source if you would like. Thank you, Jamey and Jenny Maurer, Owners.
