Service Engine Light Diagnostics in Saint Cloud, MN
“Is it expensive to diagnose a Service Engine Light?”
There is no simple answer to this question. It is a common misconception that all that needs to be done is “pull the code” and that will tell you what is wrong. The code is more like a starting point for the Technician to start his testing. Think of a thermometer. It can tell you that you have a fever but doesn’t tell you specifically why you have a fever. Our testing requires time, training and equipment to diagnose properly. At Advanced Repair, we give our Technicians an hour to complete this testing, however, occasionally it can get quite complicated which requires more testing time. That is when the customer is notified to approve the additional testing time needed. Also, it is important to remember that if you have a solid Service Engine Light, you usually have some time to get your vehicle into the shop. If the light is flashing, serious damage can occur so get it in as soon as possible.
